Creating beautiful garments inside and out was instilled in me from my very first sewing instructor. She was a beautiful French woman who said, “the items you sew should be so beautiful on the inside that your Lover will pause from making love to you when they catch a glimpse of the inside of your garment laying puddled on the floor”. As an 18 year old, who had been kissed only a handful of times, this had a huge impact on me-I went from the worst sewer to being able to teach sewing for over 20 years! What a joy it has been to share my love of sewing with so many!! Thank you all ❤️!

running induces goofy grins. I was very naughty today and played hooky from work-a much needed break from our Closing Sale! Ran some trails, got a much needed dose of PNW nature and got to reflect on how lucky I am. Thank you all for popping in and shopping and for your well wishes. Mark your calendars- September 5-15th-it’s SALE TIME! But this is no ordinary sale-40-60% off everything! After 21 years in business, it is time for this Fashion Betty to do something new! That’s right, I am closing donna and t***s! I have been blessed beyond my wildest dreams-playing and creating with fabric for over 2 decades and meeting so many great people along the way but I’m itching to do something new and adventure outside of Portland (and have weekends off!). Thank you all for your support in my endeavor and come celebrate with me while adding to your fabric stash and wardrobe. 💕
