Making an Irish Dance Dress Comfortable Again!

The second project this week was an Irish dance dress that had become too tight for the dancer.
Thankfully, the side seams had enough allowance, so I opened them up. With a little trick, I also released one of the inner seams to create extra room around the armhole, making the sleeve more comfortable for movement.

A small adjustment that makes a big difference for the dancer.

Giving a Scottish Dance Kilt a New Life!

This week I worked on a Scottish dance kilt that was full of pleats.
The dancer needed a bit more length, so I opened the bottom hem, adjusted every single pleat, pressed them all again, and finished it with temporary stitching so she can check the look and remove the tacking whenever she’s ready.
