I remember when I use to chase my leads and believe it or not it wasn’t about the money 💰 You see when I believe in something, I get mad passionate about it‼️ Obsessed to say the least… and when I get first hand knowledge 💡I want to share it with everybody I know! 💃🏽 With hopes that the see the same value that I did. 🧐

That approach comes off sales(y) 😩 That’s why experience teaches you the most valuable lessons in business. It creates an understanding, that a text book or lecture could never provide. If anyone tells you that they had it all figured out … I would run!! Even as experts we are also ALWAYS STUDENTS!

When I started my business I thought everybody was my audience, and they are NOT‼️ I learned the hard way that 👉🏼Even if a person can benefit from my offer that does not make them my customer/client.

Oftentimes, when people start a business they automatically look at the people around them as their customer and for support. This is the easiest way to ensure that people run in their tracks when they see you coming… 😩 I’m sure I’ve had a person or two and maybe 3 running from me. I was learning… and testing the waters! Figuring out what works and what doesn’t work and using my network as a training field.

With over 21 years of entrepreneurship, I’ve learned a thing or two:

1. My business is my business I must earn my support‼️
2. Everybody is not my customer‼️
3. I am not everyone’s Landlord or Coach‼️
4. Quality vs Quantity‼️
5. Give more than is expected‼️
6. Be Obsessed or Be AVERAGE

There were days I would seek out customers! There were days that I would exhaust myself proving what I already know! There were days I accepted less than I deserved while figuring this thing out!

I have a HUGE MESSAGE to anybody that can relate😱 YOU no longer have to chase 🏃‍♀️Your customer will come to you!! You never have to seek them out! They will know where you are‼️ You won’t have to prove what you have spent years showing people you know‼️ You are no longer discounted or on sale… your customer is paying what you are worth‼️

Keep putting in the work and adding the value… I pray that your email notifications over flow with new customer alerts 📧 and your text message is on a continuous Ching Ching for sales being made‼️

❓Do you ever look back on where you started in appreciation of where you are at? 🙌🏼

When I started at the Hampton Inn Midway, I applied for a Housekeeping position because I didn’t think I was qualified for any other position.

I had no experience, a teen mom, and not even a high school diploma… when I thought of the odds against me 😬 I honestly HOPED that would give me a job in housekeeping!! 🙏🏼

When I stepped in that interview I was determined, one thing I’ve never been good at is accepting the word “NO” (ask my Momma & my Husband) so I knew that I would leave with a position even if that meant the window washer 🤣🤣😂😂🤣

When you have a spirit of determination and expectation accompanied by the the ability show your worth, others will see it and believe it too!!

Following my interview the Human Resources Director gave me “new hire” paperwork with my start date… and advised me that I would meet my Manager during my shift at the Front Desk 👀😳👀

I was shaking in my boots, I applied for housekeeping… I don’t have the credentials. Hell I had never booked a Hotel on my own. I was literally in run mode… was it a mistake ?? Either way, I’m grabbing my stuff before she realized she put me in the wrong position!! Nope, I’m a Front Desk Agent now!! I had a plan, I’m going to do so good in this position they would be crazy to let me go. 💅

My first day a work I vowed to learn everything there was to learn… even with a new baby, wasn’t nothing stopping me. I went from front desk agent, I did pbx (answering phones), reservations, I even drove the shuttle to and from the airport if needed!!! I wasn’t playing with them… they promoted me to Night Auditor in 90 days where I handle the days financial for the entire hotel…. Then in a few months BIG BOSS SUPERVISOR at 18 years old!! 🎉🎉

Where it all started ➡️created bigger positions, and brighter dreams… but most of all it proved that YOU are more than your qualifications!! What’s for you is not based on what you think you deserve, or not based on who’s more qualified‼️ It’s based on what God says you can handle! If he gave me the opportunity, I wasn’t going to let him down or me either‼️🙌🏼🙏🏼 If given the opportunity you have to be READY for what you’ve asked for…

Truth is I’m not good to anyone BROKE‼️ I’m trying to make as much money as I can this year. Why? Because I know what it feels like to be broke and I know what it feels like to be broken.

There were days I had to rob Peter to pay Paul. There was days that I had to tell Paul… I don’t got it! But during the entire process the one thing that I did learn is how to be resilient and how to never be broke again. I had to learn how to think outside of the box, I had to understand what my business needed to flow/flourish!

So when you see me posting about generating passive income or any income for that matter it’s because I want to share the tools that I learned on my journey to help prevent ever enduring financial hardship on your entrepreneurial journey.

I want to encourage my fellow entrepreneurs to not leave money on the table. And the value of daily, weekly, and monthly deposits.

There were times that all I needed was some daily income, enough money to cover an expense no matter how small. A lot of times that income was far and few between.
