Hey WiredMaiden fans...sorry I haven't posted in a while...school has been keeping me busy. I actually have a project in one of my classes that requires 100 responses to a survey I created about leadership styles. If you have 5 min please answer the 6 short questions in the link below....it would be a huge help! Thank you!

This post is a continuation of the last one. Making good progress so far. I continued the existing patterns until I was satisfied with the length. Then I began the layering process by adding another 16 gage wire on top of the weive and incorporated it into the wrap to make it look seamless. I continued each pattern up the wire until I was ready to add the glass focal bead in the middle of the piece. Stay tuned tomorrow to see what comes next!

Hello WiredMaiden fans! Sorry I haven't posted in a while...life has been kinda crazy lately, lol. But I have been working on stuff. I decided I was gonna do something different this time and record the creation of this piece. That way you can get a glimpse at my process. I usually begin by sketching the idea kn graph paper. I am definitely not the best sketch artist, it at least helps me figure out where to start. With most of my jewelry I start by making the base pieces first with 18 or 16 gage wire. I use a small steel hammer to harden them into shape and then use a smaller gage to wire the pieces together while they are held in place by my clamp. This idea turned out to be slightly more difficult. I required a little strategic planning. I decided to start in the middle of the design where I visioned the thickest part of the wrap to be. I started with 6 pieces of 16 gage wire that I needed to be spaced evenly while I wrapped it. Definitely needed a clamp for that! Even then it took a lot of trial and error...but after starting over numerous times I finally got a good wrap going that I was happy with. I wrapped up to a desired length, after which I branched one side off using a different weive design. This part will be the center of the design.
