Yes, my daughter wears big bows
and I don’t care what anyone thinks.

I waited years for her.
I dreamed about her.
I imagined every little detail, every giggle, every outfit.

And if putting a giant bow on her head makes me happy, brings me joy, or makes her smile, then I’m going to do it loudly, proudly, without shame.

I’ve heard the whispers.
I’ve felt the judgment.
People who think they know better, who think “less is more,” or that she should somehow be “less girly.”
But this is my daughter, my choice, my love.
I’m done shrinking for anyone else’s opinion.

So yes, she will have bows.
She will have frills.
She will sparkle if she wants to.
And I will cheer her on every step of the way.

Because I waited years to hold her, to love her, to raise her, and I’m not going to apologize for celebrating every single part of her.
