-profits that seek to stir the sympathy of others often present Africa as a conglomerate of hopeless nations where everyone is sitting around waiting to be saved by foreign aid from Western countries. There is no denying that there is indeed poverty in Africa and many nations in the continent are faced with low human development indicators. However, Africa is also filled with people that are enterprising, innovative, hardworking and *gasp* fun!
