I LOVE working with the vibrant original South African� shweshwe fabrics. When a friend was selling her business back in 2004 I jumped at the opportunity to take it over as I had an inkling I'd need to get onto my own two feet in the then near future so the timing was perfect! Those beginning days of just picnic blankets and kids beach hoodies that were C-Stuff slowly evolved to include aprons and

other fun gifts such as personalised tea tins, free-range pebble dominoes, story stones, fun button rings, flower pens, Xmas gifts, cards and gift tags. I sell what I make, some are once offs, others are stock I make regularly for a local Somerset West market. See www.countrycraftmarket.org

This was a fun order, and the "choeks" a change from my usual animal and Africa keyrings!

Big thanks to for asking me to make these for the media and influences for the launch of the new book, "Wild Things Never Die". It's the 5th book in her series and they're such great reads. I'll be buying this one for our next bookclub get together, for sure! Tannie Maria is quite a character!

If you look at the band on each book, where Sally has her name, it has a shweshwe vibe, and thanks to a friend who knew I worked with shweswhe, Penguin Random House got in touch !

Listening to Sally on 567 the other days, Tannie Maria's chicken is Henrietta, poor thing suffering from PTSD I believe! Next month's read!

Remember the Memory Game as kids? All the cards face down, then flip them over to try and match as many pairs as possible?

6 weeks ago lil' George and Lilly joined the family... it's a riot in my workspace these days.....playing with fabrics, climbing in and out of packaging boxes, charging across my keyboard (my Excel formulas look like this.... #@*!!!!!🙈 ), clawing their way up my rolls of batting, flicking keyrings off the table and across the floor (best game!)... they are busy "kids"... then they're suddenly pooped and I get this.....😍😍😍😍😍! Well, I've lost my chair for the next hour, but it's peaceful and there's a whole lotta sibling love going down! 💞

Wow, end of Feb already and only now getting around to my first post of the year! 😳 It's just been a busy start, topping up stock after the festive season and this order took some time too...

A crush of rhinos....all 200 of them🦏🦏🦏🦏🦏🦏🦏🦏, keyrings ordered by a medical supply company in Jozi, which they'd ordered in support of the Wildlife Rescue, Johannesburg. 💞
