There really is something to be said about watching your best friend become a teenager, then an adult, get her first job and then watch her get asked be a wife...I've been at your side for most life and I've never been more honoured, more proud to be with you at the beginning of this new stage of your life with the man who holds your heart. A brides support system is vital. Especially on the day she makes her forever commitment. I've had a the honour of working with for the second time now, first as a bridesmaid, now as the bride. She approached me to do her bridesmaids pieces for her in a colour I've never heard, and definitely will not forget. Cinnamon Rose. A colour that suited all of the ladies! After many years of doing pieces of severe structure, my client Nicole Weber-Williams challenged me to do a piece for her special occasion that required a soft simplicity that I'm not generally accustomed to. Even to a point where I found myself overthinking the plotting and construction. In the end, Nicole slipped into the dress and it was just harmonious liquid emerald beauty. An effortless drape that we both adored. Thanks Nicole Webber-Williams for this opportunity again. It was amazing!

Thankful.
That's what I've decided to crown yesterday as.
There's a moment of peace, quiet and reflection, that only lasts about a minute when a bride watches her bridesmaids walk down the aisle ahead of her and she waits for cue to go...in that tiny moment I'm blessed enough to watch all the emotions and excitement pass over her face.
Yesterday, that moment happened with the beautiful Chelsea Danielle Williams whom I've known since we were children. What an amazing journey it's been to this point. I'm incredibly proud to have been part of it. You looked absolutely breathtaking!

I learn really important life lessons with the pieces I do most times. This piece...for the lack of a more descriptive word...monumental.
This piece was created for a client 2yrs ago. But production was halted due to the Covid outbreak. This piece has since been living in my studio for the duration of pandemic until last month, when the stunning Kirsten - a niece to the original client - slipped it on and it fit like a glove. An aspect I'll not easily forget.

So, with time, what began as an idea and a journey for one, ended up as a heart full of stories and memories for another. For God to have blessed me to be part of this - I am honoured.

There was never any doubt that the second Jay sat down in my studio, that it would end up in friendship and a suit so overwhelmingly dramatic - it made so much sense that it would be something that I produced into this world and Jay would breath life into it and together, this living, breathing source of awe inspiring piece of handwork and drama created gasp. And the objective was achieved.
