*Devotion: Finding Peace in Troubled Times*

"Indeed, an hour is coming, and has come, when each of you will be scattered to his own home, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:32-33 NIV)

As Jesus spoke these words to His disciples, He knew that difficult times were ahead. He would soon be arrested, tried, and crucified. His followers would be scattered and face persecution. But despite the turmoil that was coming, Jesus offered His disciples a profound promise: "In me you may have peace."

In a world filled with trouble and uncertainty, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and anxious. But as followers of Jesus, we have a unique source of peace that is not dependent on our circumstances. Jesus has overcome the world, and in Him, we can find peace that surpasses understanding.

Today, as you face your own challenges and troubles, remember that Jesus is with you. He has overcome the world, and He offers you His peace. Take heart, dear believer, and find rest in the presence of your Savior.

- What troubles are you facing today?
- How can you find peace in the midst of those troubles?
- What does it mean to you that Jesus has overcome the world?

*Prayer:*

Dear Jesus, thank You for offering me Your peace in the midst of trouble. Help me to find rest in Your presence and to trust in Your power to overcome the world. Give me courage and strength to face the challenges ahead, knowing that You are with me always. Amen.
