Oh hello.... 😉

Feels like forever since I've been on here. Social media just doesn't seem to feature much on my to-do lists lately.... And that okay. There is a season for everything.

My current season involves multiple arguments with a little human I created.

This almost 5 stage is wonderful but maybe alittle too opinionated ???

We have had to tighten the reigns on current areas because his behaviour and attitude were being affected. Overall he is a kind hearted and loving little angel.... But if there boundaries start to look alittle blurred... You can bet your life savings that he is going to try push at them.

After bringing down the iron fist so to speak, there has been amazing improvement.

This parenting gig is hard 🙈. Constantly questioning if I am being a good mom. I get frustrated when he is defiant, I talk and talk and shout and count and count to 15 and then I shout. I'm only human afterall.

It's tough... But we just carry on. Loving them, raising them and hoping for the best 🙏🙏🙏

P.s. Connor came home today to say that his friend Lacey is going to marry him. When I asked him when this is happening, his response was the 20th November.... Hoping he means in atleast 20 years. 😁😂😂😂😂

Our blue red blue started Grade R today and I have been trying to not make a fuss because emotionally I'm not ready for this 😅😫

He will be 5 next month and seems so grown up all of a sudden, but actually just my little baby that I held for the first time.

This is the year mom and dad really have to make some decisions on what's best for our boy!

Reflections 💗

2018 has been another mixed bag year. But we are grateful to have our health and to see in another year together.

I have not written nearly as much as I would have liked, and I have plans for a blog makeover and new direction next year. Reminding myself why I started writing and not get caught up in all the other stuff.

My family is in such a good place and I have prayed for this victory for years. We don't have everything we want but we have all that we need.

Our son is just everything. We are loving this stage (almost 5). He brings laughter, love and the utmost joy to our lives.

As a family, we are looking forward to 2019. The new ventures, continued growth, deepening our Faith and embracing everything that comes our way.

We rejoice in the season and give thanks for another year!

We miss our loved ones that are no longer with us, but are grateful for the memories we have.

This year we tried something alittle different. To go with his normal chocolate advent calendar, I have also made a ✝❤

Each day he will get a little verse, explaining the story of Jesus 🙏 and we are so so excited.

Totally got in touch with my vibes.

Made with empty toilet rolls, cardboard, glue and alot of love 💗.

We also welcomed the elf into the family today, with an official adoption letter and all.

We had a blast! However, i did realise how unfit I am and was only slightly jealous when my son was catching a ride on hubby's back. 😂😂
