imadeit.co.za A one stop shop for completely beautiful handmade products & gifts. An Introduction… I am a mom, I have a full time job & I like to do crafty stuff.

I happen to have very crafty friends and family (who have less disasters than me). How did this all start? IMadeit.co.za started in 2015 as an empowerment platform for side hustling crafters. Eventually it became a little bit of a logistical challenge, so we bought our own machines and started making mugs and t-shirts. I’m 2018 I left my corporate job to do this full time. For 8 months, I woke up,

created, administrated, procured. In late 2018 I was pursued by the competitor of the organization I had left and returned to corporate. In 2019 Cathy joined me as a partner taking over the day to day production and client management. We invested in new machines to ensure we could keep up with demand. In 2020 COVID hit and fundamentally changed the whole world. We survived the initial lock down because both Cathy and I were blessed to have our day jobs, for organizations that thrived during lock down. We, however, realized that we were very lucky and developed a plan to empower other people who had lost their livelihoods as a result of the pandemic. We launched our reseller programme and brought Debbie onboard as a production assistant.

2021 has definitely been a more challenging year but we’ve also opened a studio in Cape Town that is run by Candice (my sister). So what do we offer in Joburg? HTV onto anything that can take the heat
