This client came to me recently with this gorgeous shirt dress which was too small for her 💔.

Her request was: "Make it wearable."

It is always difficult to make something bigger. I suggested that we create a blouse from the dress at the point where it would fit her comfortably around her bust 🌸

My client now has a blouse to wear to her function on Sunday ❤️

Note: the coffee stains were there when she delivered the dress.

1. Poor quality that doesn’t last
Fast fashion pieces are often made with low-quality fabrics and stitching, meaning they wear out quickly and lose their shape after just a few washes.
2. Environmental impact
Cheap production often comes at the expense of the environment think massive water consumption, chemical dyes, and piles of clothing ending up in landfills.
3. Unethical labor practices
Many fast fashion brands rely on low-paid workers in unsafe conditions to keep prices down.
4. Overconsumption
Constantly changing trends encourage us to buy more than we need, leading to cluttered closets and wasted money.
5. Difficult to repair or alter
Low-quality materials and construction make it harder to give garments a second life through alterations.
