what is uglykids ?

- uglykids is a street brand formed by Kamogelo 'darkskinnedjohn' Matjila with his three friends ; Koketso 'icecreampapino' Madiba , Gomolemo 'naldrick shard' Legoase & Onkgopotse 'uncle_zuzatheshoponwer' Mosiane

how was it formed ?

- in the year 2015 we started following a guy named Ian Connor,we then researched about him from that day and even today we still do that . the concept "ugly" was from Ian , we once read an article where Ian said " at the age of 13/14 I realized I was ugly, so my style had to save me " so from that day onwards he took himself as an ugly person & never let people make him feel bad for being ugly . with him it was never a thing of being 'sarcastic' , the same is with us . people out there have low self-esteem b/c of friends who make jokes about they're physical features and after seeing that Ian feels good with himself being ugly then we got an idea that why don't we create a brand named uglykids for all the kids out there who feel that they're not beautiful enough to take selfies with their 'beau/slaying friends' . it's all in your mindset that whether you believe that you're ugly or not , it's not a matter of choosing to being ugly b/c people tell you you're ugly . Ian Connor has a lot of impact in our life's . he made us see the world from a different view or should we say an UGLY view ."

is this all an act of sarcasm or you believe you're ugly ?

- we actually do believe we're ugly enough to deserve the title "uglykids" but think of the irony behind it , imagine a beau' bettie in an uglykids shirt .... what will your reaction be ? we live in an expanding creative world today and it's all about being creative . our minds level is not as par as of others , we take it up a notch on a daily basis . but behind all of this , we're just trying to create a better creative world for us & you people .

how do you handle the fact that you're being call an "ugly"-kid ?

- honestly we don't care . that's it !

what's the motive behind your brand?
- letting the world know that being ugly isn't a sin and you should embrace how you look .

is the brand uglykids something you want to grow with or you're just doing it for fun ?

-hopefully if things go well for us then we'll grow old with it but at this point we're not sure of what we want . but it doesn't mean we don't take our work seriously b/c we're waiting for our blow up to determine our brands future .

what are your plans for 2k16 ?

- right now we're all about putting the work in so that we get our brands name out there and get the recognition .u.s 🙏
