Today is a big day for us at Imadi Store Hand Weaving Factory!

We celebrated the official handover of our new solar installation at our manufacturing office in Johannesburg. A huge THANK YOU to the *Department of Economic Development* for partnering with us through their Solar Program.

Load shedding and high electricity costs have been one of our biggest challenges. This solar support means our weavers can keep the looms running, production stays consistent, and we can meet global orders without interruption.

For us, it’s more than just power. It’s about protecting jobs, growing skills, and building a sustainable future for South African craft. When our community is empowered, our heritage thrives.
