I'm writing with humility and hope to ask for your support for my 12‑year‑old daughter, *Leja*, who has earned a place among the Top 25 dancers representing South Africa at the World Dance Competition in Orlando, Florida (2027).
Leja was selected during the International MSC Galaxy of the Oceans competition (March 2026). She also qualified for July 2026, but without funding we had to decline—a heartbreak we’re determined not to repeat. As a minor, she will need me to travel with her, bringing total costs for flights, accommodation, registration, food, and transport to approximately *R140 000*.
Leja is from a small town in Mpumalanga, where opportunities—and sponsors—are scarce. Dance is her life (7 years of daily commitment). Most recently she placed 1st in both her categories, won Overall Hip‑Hop and Disco dancer, and received a special award for stage personality and expression. If you’ve met her, you know she lives and breathes movement 24/7.
I know R140 000 is a big ask, but I also know the power of community. Any contribution—whether a donation, in‑kind support, or sharing her story—will directly fund this once‑in‑a‑lifetime chance to learn, grow, and make SA proud.
You can follow Leja’s journey here below in the link space.
Thank you for considering this request, for believing in a small‑town girl with big dreams, and for helping us stand together to make this happen.
With gratitude,
Leja's biggest fan, Dance mom Anmorie Viljoen
