Life is short, very brief. Even for those that live to be ninety, it still seems short. Had they a choice, they'd choose to hold on a little longer.

I sat outside, well, not entirely. Somewhere between the outside and the house, kind of like how fighting for one's life is. There's a cold breeze from the outside, the raindrops keep falling and the trees keep on waving one at the other, a sight to behold.

The cool breeze draws me to the outside, I'm about to get up and run in the rain when all of a sudden the warmth of the house pulls me back.

At this point, I'm trying to figure out where I should be.

If I go outside, I'll forget all my cares and dance with the trees, I'll run with the wind but eventually, the cold would be too much for me.

By the time I choose to get back into the house, the door is locked and I'm trapped outside.

What I leave behind is the warmth of that house, I should have chosen it in the first place and watched the raindrops from the window.

Sometimes, people try their best to not go outside, they try to not be carefree, so they fight. They fight for their lives and hold on a little longer. They hold on because they care about the people in the house. But eventually, they go away, away to a place of no cares. Not because they don't care anymore, but because they can't hold on a little more.
