In a world that tells us to show as much as possible to get noticed, choosing modesty is a beautiful way to honor God. It is a choice to show that you belong to Him.
As a single woman living with purpose, modesty is not about boring clothes. It is about showing that you know how valuable you are in God’s eyes.
What the Bible Says
Modesty is more than just the clothes we wear; it is about our hearts.
You Belong to God:
The Bible says, "Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit" (1 Corinthians 6:19). Because God lives in you, your body is holy. We should dress in a way that shows respect for His home.
True Beauty is Inside:
Scripture tells us that real beauty doesn't come from expensive jewelry or flashy clothes. It comes from a "gentle and quiet spirit" (1 Peter 3:3-4). This kind of beauty never fades.
The Best Kind of Praise:
We often worry about being "pretty enough," but Proverbs 31:30 reminds us: "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
Why Modesty Matters in Your Singleness?
You don't need to "show off" to find the right person. When you dress with modesty, you are:
1. Showing Self-Respect:
You are telling people that you are a daughter of a King.
2. Focusing on Character:
You want people to see your kindness, your brain, and your love for God first.
3. Trusting God:
You are trusting that God will bring the right people into your life without you having to compromise your values.
A Simple Reminder
You are a treasure. You don't need to reveal everything to be seen. You are already seen and loved by God.
