Kuma fashion pages uko lets be mindful how we lead our followers. Some of your “teachings” are installing low self-esteem instead of building women up. Let me summarize it.
Most Zimbabwean women are still new to certain levels of exposure and fashion spaces, meaning there’s still a lot of learning and discovering to do. Pazvinonzi “mazimbo haagone kupfeka” yes, it’s a stereotype ,but stereotypes are stubborn facts 👉
Instead of helping women grow confidently, some pages are now turning fashion into shaming.
Most women following these pages are ordinary wives, mothers, working women ,haasi ma “baddies” ese. Saka mukatanga kuita vanhu feele sekuti the only way kuti unzi wakachena is to dress like Mai Brook or Pokello makutotadza individualism should be promoted and accepted
You post relatable outfits that an average Zimbabwean woman actually wears to work, then Wobva waudzwa kuti this shoe is outdated, this skirt haichaite, this bag zvakasara. But some of these women are from the ghetto and ndizvo zvavanokwanisa kubatanidza panguva iyoyo.
Fashion should teach confidence and styling ,not humiliation.
Tell people how to pair their pump shoes neka jean skirt kavo ikako. Teach women how to elevate what they already have. Don’t make people feel dirty, poor or unfashionable because they can’t afford your standards.
Let’s be careful because some of these teachings are doing more harm than good.
