Here's a tip on how to polishing smooth leather. Hope it comes handy to some leather lovers:
First of all; clean your shoes to get the dirty off. Do not use detergent, it destroys the natural oils. Condition the shoes with a leather conditioner and set aside for 24 hours. Use paste, wax or cream polish to shine your shoes. Make sure the polish matches the shoe colour. Neutral is the colour for light coloured shoes. Use a shade lighter than the shoe to cover scratches. Cream or paste polish moisturizes fine leather, keeps it flexible, and soaks into the leather to allow the leather to breathe.

During the rainy season; more often that not, we are caught up in the rain and end up with wet shoes. When drying our shoes, its important to avoid drying them near a fire or heater. This overheating will literally cook the leather and cause it to become stiff and brittle. The best technique is to ensure that dry, room temperature air can circulate inside the shoes. Leather should always dry naturally.
