Vegetable-tanned calfskin. Cotton pom-poms. Brass fittings. Entirely hand-sewn.

Reconstruction of high boots from the end of the 15th century based on Franco-Burgundian visual sources.

Upper: vegetable-tanned deerskin, hand-dyed.
Sole: vegetable-tanned cowhide. Ranto method of attachment.
Fastened with forged hooks.

Entirely hand-sewn.

Already today the New Year is coming!

Therefore, we want to share with you, dear friends, a little bit of thoughts about the plans of our workshop.

For us this year was (suddenly, but not really), as for so many and many of us, not the easiest. Quite ambiguous even and full of quite surprising "somersaults".

But we have to move forward, and how else. )

We thought a lot about our creative and labor Path. Various "philosophical" (what the author wanted to say with another pair of shoes), where we (as a workshop) are moving in principle and what we want in the future.
And so on.

In this connection we would like to inform you that in the New Year our workshop will undergo a big renewal.
New directions, new big creative projects, and much more.

A version of the assembly of a belt from the Chernihiv treasure found near the Yelets Monastery. Dated to the beginning of the 11th century.

In view of the fact that the details of the belt (by Master Yon) are gilded, we decided to assemble the leather part in a "fashionable" way.
The design of the belt found in the middle reaches of the Volga from a private collection was taken as a basis.
