I think as small business owners, we often underestimate the impact our children are watching every single day. They see the late nights, the creating, the problem solving, the courage it takes to try something new and the determination it takes to turn an idea into reality.
I grew up in a big loving family. My mum taught me to love deeply, have fun, laugh lots and always be kind. My dad gave me my entrepreneurial spirit, determination and the belief that if you want something badly enough, you’ll find a way to make it happen.
He’s always been my biggest cheerleader and still is, encouraging me to think creatively and believe things are possible.
Now as a working mum of 3 boys, it means everything to me to pass that same mindset down to them. Nothing makes me prouder than watching them start paving their own way in life, whether that’s through DJ’ing, media or entrepreneurial ideas.
As their last ever school term comes to an end, nothing makes me prouder than seeing one of them finish with the Entrepreneurial Award and earlier this year, the other receive the Golden Globe Award ❤️
I truly believe our children are inspired by watching us create, build, adapt and keep going, even when things feel hard.
And that’s exactly why I’ll always support young talent, whether that’s students doing work experience, helping at our events or simply encouraging young people to believe in themselves and give things a go ✨
