Jesus Christ told Nicodemus that except a man or woman be born again, of water and of the Spirit, he or she cannot see or enter into the kingdom of God (see John 3:3, 5).
Put another way, as we encourage and help others prepare for baptism and confirmation, we are preparing them to see and enter the kingdom of God—to be received by the Lord Jesus Christ as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The joy baptism brings cascades through generations. It unites families eternally in the Lord. I pray we can courageously invite all to partake of this enduring joy.
