Steele & Jones began as a hobby in 2006 in those Forums dedicated to the gear of the most famous Archaeologist, Professor of Archaeology, expert on the occult and...how does one say it?...obtainer of rare antiquities... Through time, fans who couldn't afford hats from other vendors asked for fedoras for themselves, and S&J started officially with a single order from a fan in Tarragona, Spain -whi

ch by the way, we are still in touch with him, and write fromm time to time. People chose us cause of the to the high quality materials we use, and for our quest to have the best price-product ratio. Since then, the Explorador Fedora is our most requested product, which we have perfected through a detailed study of every detail, counting today with hundreds of satisfied customers that endorse our work. Then in 2010 we started working in the making of custom jackets for the die hard fan searching for accuracy for a reasonable price. We are dedicated to providing our products to those fans with an adventurous spirit who simply go out and explore the world...And fot those who collect high detailed replicas, too.

"Oh this does look familiar!"
Craig Barron, who worked in ILM’s matte painting department during the filming of Raiders and many other movies, ordered a jacket from us, and had the help of Deborah Nadoolman herself in measuring him.
Finally, when he received the jacket, he showed it to Deborah.
Here’s what Craig told us:
“We finally got over to visit with Deborah and her husband John Landis last night. I'm happy to report that your jacket was very well received and approved by Deborah. As soon as I put the jacket on her, the first thing she said was "Oh this does look familiar!". She also mentioned that the weathering was amazing and the best she's ever seen. We're all smiles here in Los Angeles with your beautiful work.
Thank you so much—I couldn't be happier.”

Things are tense everywhere, so let's enjoy beauty when we can. Take the back of this truck chase jacket by .and.jones for example. It is a work of art. A canvas of texture.
