What a year!
So much has happened, and it’s hard to fit everything into one short video that keeps everyone watching until the end 😅
But here are the major highlights that truly shaped me professionally this year.
At the beginning of the year, I started working on a full rebrand. For those who followed me before, I used to “hide” behind the name SÊIN. This year, I decided to step forward and embrace my own name, Inês Silva—because behind my brand it’s just me, and in many ways we have become one and the same.
With the new name came the launch of my new line, Trash Couture. I had the pleasure of working with , who created my very first commercial video. We celebrated all of this together in Iris’s beautiful shop, (and in case you didn’t notice, my little towel corner is still very much there).
In September, at the invitation of .kaller, I showed my work at , in the show she curates dedicated to upcycling and textiles produced in Austria. She also connected me with , and in October we launched a collection together. I visited their factory—and honestly, is there anything better than seeing with your own eyes where the towels are “born”?!
So many towels passed through my hands, I sewed a lot, and now the end-of-year fatigue is definitely here.
Next week I’m going on holiday, and as usual I’ll take a little break from social media too. It’s time to enjoy Portugal with my family and friends, whom I’ve missed so much. I’m also hoping for some sunshine, because with the grey weather we’ve had in Linz I’m turning into a ghost ahaha.
My online shop will remain open until Saturday morning. My products will continue to be available at .And I’ve already talked way too much—I’m not even sure anyone will read this until the end!
Wishing you all happy holidays, and I hope we’ll be here together again next year ❤️
