The first project made from one of the towels I brought home from .

This towel smells like the beach. It smells like holidays. It smells like Portugal to me.

So I decided to spoil myself a little and make a dress just for me before closing the studio for a month.
It's coming with me on holiday, and I already can't wait for people to mistake me for a beach cabana 😅

I'll never quite get used to seeing my work in print. It still makes me ridiculously excited every single time. ❤️

I've been a little quiet here lately.
Most of my time and energy have been going into the new pieces that will be launching at the end of September. Right now, everything needs to be ready for the upcoming photoshoots, and whenever I'm deep in a creative process, I often find myself choosing to create rather than document.

A year ago, I finally stopped feeling guilty about that.

I've learned that creativity comes in seasons. Sometimes it looks like sharing, posting, and storytelling. Other times it looks like long days in the studio, solving problems, testing ideas, and bringing new pieces to life. Both are equally important.

And then there's summer, my favourite time of year. Time spent with friends, beach days, barbecues, walks along the river, and all the little moments that make life feel slower and fuller.

While organising old photos today, I found these images from a shoot with last summer in my hometown, Caldas da Rainha. Since I'll be back in Portugal in exactly one month, it felt like the right moment to finally share them.

And naturally, I'm wearing one of my favourite towel dresses.

WHY TOWELS?

I think towels are deeply underestimated.

They dry us after showers, wrap around our bodies, absorb traces of our lives and quietly exist in every home without anyone really looking at them.

But i do.

I collect discarded towels like treasures.
I carry bags full of them.
I keep their labels like little archives.
I spend hours searching for strange vintage patterns, faded colours and geometric prints that feel nostalgic in a way i can’t fully explain.

Maybe i’m obsessed with towels because they are comforting.
Because being wrapped in one feels safe.
Because they are soft, practical and made to last.
Because they are 100% cotton.
Because they already lived another life before becoming fashion.

And maybe somewhere along the way this became less about clothing and more about storytelling.

also:
“The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” taught me that a towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have.

so yes…
this is partly a fashion brand and partly a towel obsession 😅

The V pullovers are sold out, but they’ll be back at the end of September!

Every year I try to create a new product, and this year it was these pullovers. Honestly, I never expected them to be such a success, and it genuinely makes me sooo happy knowing there are so many of them out there being worn 🥹
Thank you so much to everyone.

Each v***a on these pullovers is slightly different from the next, because in reality no two are the same either. The front panels are made using reclaimed towels, and the rest is made with soft sweat fabric — 95% cotton and 5% elastane, certified GOTS and OEKO-TEX.

Each one comes with a numbered label, to make it even clearer that every piece is truly one of a kind.

There’s something strangely charming about an empty funfair while the city is still asleep 🎠

I stitched this outfit from leftover towel bands and logo scraps saved from other projects. Nothing wasted, everything reused ♻️

Hi, I’m Inês, a Portuguese artist living in Linz, Austria.
I’m obsessed with colors, clashing patterns, and things that shouldn’t work… but somehow do.
Color makes me happy.
Chaos makes me happy.
