I didn’t appreciate the Ulticlip much in the past, but I definitely see a few instances now where I might gravitate towards using it.

I had the great pleasure to make a sheath for this D-guard-Bowie by Pearce Richardson of that was entrusted to me by a collector. The blade is a veritable work of art and I hope the sheath makes for a nice home for it to live in.

Literally the first images I took in my new light tent, crappy phone camera, no filters.

This set of hags for a wheelchair pull device has taken a while to finish. Mainly because we had to do some outdoor measuring and fitting sessions, since my basement level shop, sadly, is not wheelchair accessible at all.

The central bag is tailored around the dimensions of the pulling device’s replacement battery, while the removable side bags offer room for tools and everyday items.

Fit, function, and usability were the topmost priorities, so going with a ‚no bells, no whistles, style was the obvious design choice, and my client was also very much into the straight and boxy lines.

Theme and variations — small batches of similar knives always offer the possibility of slight variations in terms of color, construction, or overall feeling.

So, the sheaths for these four wee EDCs by were a perfect playground, and also an opportunity to set aside the usual black and browns.

Needless to say that the knives are yet unfinished and look nothing like their final appearance, which I’m looking forward to seeing.

As many of you know, I’ve started making dussacks, practice weapons for HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) practicioners, this year, and I couldn’t be happier with the interest and the positive feedback from the crowd. 😊

Since each and every one of these is entirely made by hand (that includes the stitching!), I can’t crank ‘em out at an industrial speed. What I can do, though, is customizing them – for example with a special dye job.

I hope that whenever he picks this up for a friendly round of sparring, my client will feel a but of the satisfaction that making and sending these out into the world gives me. ✌🏻😊

A recent sheath for a beautiful knife by
I would have done a bit more in therms of decoration, but his client wanted a logo and some text engraved later, so I had to keep it a bit more simple. In hindsight, it looked much better this way, letting the stunning amboina burl of the handle shine.
