I decided to spend my last vacation photographing everything only on film. I tested the camera beforehand so as not to do anything wrong. I documented our 4 week motorcycle trip on a total of 4 films.

When I developed the films, the big awakening came. Instead of 144 pictures, only around 20 came out. There was no information on the rest of the film. When I took a closer look at the camera, I noticed that the felt strips used to seal the camera were either porous or no longer there at all. Photos were only saved on the film when I pressed hard enough on the back of the camera with my thumbs. I didn't know that at the time.

Well, it won't happen to me again. That's why I've now serviced all my film cameras.

Sometimes you lose and sometimes the others win...

About a year ago I started shooting 35mm film. Usually, once I was done with a film I did send it to a lab and waited about a week to get my developed film and the digital pictures back. Recently I started to do digital scans of the developed film. This means that you shoot with a modern camera, pictures of the film over a light table and colorize it through special software. This gives you way more control over the outcome of the picture. I also discovered how nice it can look if you turn the film scan into monochrome which you can see in the last photo. So far so good. The next step is to develop film on my own.

Revival of the Pop Up Store - in a slightly different form and just for one evening.

On May 3rd there will be another Dilli Pop Up Store at the evening shopping in Schwaz. A small artist market, live DJ and some selected products from the Dilli Studio await you at our place. You can find us at Franz-Josef-Straße 17.

And so she vanished into the haze.

Slowly been starting to figure out my new and first-ever professional camera. We used a clear acrylic glass plate and attached a tinted window foil from the local hardware store. Drilled some holes in it and attached it to the C-Stand with some zip ties. For the light, we used the video lights since the flash gave a reflection on the acrylic plate. How do you like this effect?

Quick hello from the printing lab👋🏻

Got the new machine finally dialed in and we are ready to start printing again. Maybe even some multicolor? 😮

Behind the scenes i build quite a lot for the printing lab which made printing in general so much nicer. I will show you more about that soon ☺️

This is a reminder that our path in life is not just linear. Each step we take leaves a footstep. Some of them feel unfirm, some will lead you in the wrong direction. And even if you feel like you are walking in circles, there is only one thing you can do wrong - not taking the next step.

Summer on bikes through Italy.

In July we drove from Austria down to middle of Italy through the tiniest roads we could find. In those two weeks i had (as usual) a lot of problems on my bike but she ended up bringing me back home even with the extra weight from all the gelato in my belly.

Drei Monate sind fast rum und wie es ein Pop Up Store so an sich hat, muss er auch mal wieder geschlossen werden. Aber bevor ich mich wieder ins Internet zurückziehe wird die Zeit, die ich mit euch verbringen durfte, ein bisschen gefeiert.

Als besonderes Highlight gibt es die Filmpremiere von "Der Prutalfilm" welcher von Tobias und Niklas Oblasser sowie Daniel Farkas gedreht wurde. Es handelt sich um eine Fahrrad/Skate-Reisedoku von der Schweiz nach Spanien. Gefilmt auf einem alten Camcorder und mit viel Spaß und Unsinn in einen 60-minütigen Film verpackt.

Jeder ist willkommen und wir freuen uns auf euch.

Wait what? Not a black shirt 🧐 the first two shirts in the color “vintage white” made it on to the website and I am super happy with how they turned out. Behind each design is a story, which you can read on the website.

They are also quite different from the usual skeleton designs since i want to make them a little more approachable .

What do you think? Right direction or back to skeletons?
