Some of us grew up between cultures, between languages, between expectations. Never enough of one thing, always too much of another.
Until we found people who didn’t ask us to choose.
People who simply understood.

But what may sound like coincidence actually needed clear and focused intention.
We have been building our community for the past 10 years and we understood that it is on us to define what belonging truly feels like.

Introducing our next workshop leader for our upcoming retreat in Ghana: () Leni Charles, founder of . A Creative Director and Art Director with a background in Communication, she is currently training as an Art and Creative Expression Therapist and is certified in the traditional practice of laying on of hands. Her work brings together inner exploration, awareness, and creative expression to shape intentional spaces for collective growth.

What a way to end the year. 2025 marks a Year 9, the number of completion. Since we started the brand, we have been on a journey that was often hard to understand for those who do not identify as Kids of the Diaspora. We are proud that, despite all the pressure, we stayed true to ourselves and to our calling, planting diasporic seeds across all artistic sectors. We could not be more proud or grateful to complete this cycle in such an authentic way, building slowly and steadily, sustainably and with softness, while focusing on what matters most to us, a soulful and classy connection to our community – you!
Kids of the Diaspora, we love you, and we cannot wait to move forward into 2026, which will mark our 10-year anniversary. We promise to celebrate it to the fullest!
