We are excited to present a new show at Backyardarchive together with . „Rug Pull“ showcases Dominik Scharfer’s broad approach to his craft, spanning painting, sculpture, and beyond.

Born in Austria, Dominik is an interdisciplinary artist whose work navigates the intersections of memory, history, and the human experience. Fusing traditional materials with modern techniques, including acrylic lacquers, cold enamels, and sculptural elements, his practice continually pushes the boundaries of painting. Rooted in childhood memories and adult reflections, he explores themes of humor, chaos, and surreal distortion, creating works of emotional depth and visual complexity.

Through his lens, he transforms fragments of history into narratives that bridge the personal and the universal, offering audiences a tactile and immersive experience.

Maison Margiela by John Galliano Resort 2022 Coat

On of our current outerqear favorites. A beautifully structured, military-inspired coat with a sculptural construction and a subtly deconstructed finish.

Crafted from a rich deep brown wool in a slightly oversized fit. Multiple pockets add a sense of utility while the beautifully structured shoulders give the piece elegance.
Finished with raw hems and mismatched buttons in different shapes and textures, the coat embodies Margiela’s signature approach to deconstruction.

Featured in the lookbook-only Maison Margiela Resort 2022 collection.

HE CANNOT MISS

Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford Autumn Winter 2026

Yesterday, Haider Ackermann presented his third collection for Tom Ford and delivered an absolute masterclass. The presentation felt like a perfectly controlled display of power and elegance. Every look landed with intention.

The silhouettes revolved around archetypal power dressing, strong shoulders, precise tailoring and a sense of obsessive perfection reminiscent of 1980s Wall Street aesthetics. Quite literal references to American Psycho appeared in see through plastic coats, finished with crocodile leather details.

Yesterday’s show was also the first time that Haider used classic denim in one of his collections. The material, deeply tied to American cultural identity, adds a new dimension to his traditionally ultra refined aesthetic. High waisted bootcut jeans were washed out to perfection and subtly detailed with front pleats, giving them structure and elegance while still feeling effortless.

Only the highest quality materials were shown throughout the collection. Exotic skins, particularly crocodile leather, appeared as symbols of status, excess and control, reinforcing the house’s heritage of unapologetic luxury. Haider is able to incorporate these materials in a way that feels lavish yet extremely tasteful.

At the same time, Haider subtly weaves in elements of his own design language. His signature jacquards appear within the collection, referencing his personal archive while merging with the sensual precision that defines Tom Ford. The result is a dialogue between two worlds, Ford’s erotic sharpness and Ackermann’s poetic approach to texture and movement.

We are so excited to see that Haider keeps on delivering and it feels like he is far from stopping.

We’re excited to announce the fourth exhibition at our store. This further deepens our commitment to building a platform for dialogue across creative disciplines, one that encourages exchange and unexpected connections. By bringing together artists from diverse artistic backgrounds, the exhibition creates a dynamic constellation of perspectives that both contrast and complement one another.

For the opening weekend, we will temporarily present a reduced selection of archive garments in dialogue with the exhibition.
From Monday onwards, the space returns to its regular store setting.

We are looking forward to seeing you next weekend!

The Saint Laurent Wyatt Boots by Hedi Slimane.
Our personal favorite and arguably the most iconic footwear silhouette he ever designed.

Shown here in both the Harness and Cowboy version, the Wyatt was first introduced on the runway of Hedis inaugural FW13 collection for Saint Laurent. It became an instant classic and a defining pillar of the house’s new identity.

Shortly after its debut, the Wyatt entered the permanent collection and remained a staple throughout Slimane’s tenure and far beyond.

The Wyatt defines the shape of the last. Slim yet not overly pointed, striking the perfect balance between elegance and wearability. The Wyatt sole was offered in 30mm, 40mm, and 60mm heel variations and served as the foundation for numerous silhouettes throughout the era.

Featured here is the FW13 Wyatt 40 Harness Boot, widely considered the holy grail of Hedi-era Saint Laurent footwear. The original FW13 version is instantly recognizable by its exposed zipper and sharper proportions details that distinguish it from later productions and make it especially desirable among collectors.

The second pair shown is the FW14 Wyatt Cowboy Boot in nappy nut suede. This version reinterprets the traditional Western silhouette through Hedi’s lens. An elongated shaft, refined pull tabs on both sides, and the ultra-clean Wyatt last give the boot a sharper, more sophisticated attitude than a classic cowboy boot. The absence of the harness makes this iteration less recognizable, yet therefore cleaner and more wearable for everyday styling.
