Small tips and tricks:
Sustainable laundry practices

Washing your clothes at 30°C is typically sufficient, helping to preserve fabric quality while saving energy. For instance, washing at 30°C uses about two-thirds of the energy required for a wash at 40°C. Lower washing temperatures not only benefit the environment but also reduce costs.

Detergents should be biodegradable. In Austria, these are often identified by eco-labels. Follow the recommended dosage on the packaging, keeping in mind that soft water (like in Vienna) requires less detergent compared to hard water.

Avoid using fabric softeners altogether. Instead, baking soda can replace harsh bleaching agents, and a small amount of vinegar works effectively against unpleasant odors.

Finally, significant energy savings can be achieved by air-drying your laundry rather than using a dryer.

Saturday morning with Julian Lubinger and with his delights from his organic batch bakery in Vienna.
Perfectly paired with our soft, ribbed knit sweater made from 100% organic cotton in pale blue. For us, this means, among other things, that our organic cotton is sown and harvested manually, without the use of genetic engineering, chemical, or synthetic pesticides. Instead, farmers use beneficial insects and natural pesticides, such as an extract from neem trees.
