Some mattress protectors are made of PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) which contains harmful additives and honestly, isn’t safe for kids to be sleeping on. PVC toxins can lead to potential developmental, respiratory and hormonal issues. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my kids spending half of their lives sleeping on that 🙅‍♀️

That’s why we do things differently, our waterproof fitted sheets are made of 100% GOTS certified organic cotton and bamboo TPU waterproofing. It combines a soft, breathable bamboo viscose fabric top with a durable, non-toxic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) backing to keep your mattress dry & protected all night long, without the harmful effects. Made from bamboo viscose, it is hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and safe for sensitive skin ☁️

Only the best for your little loves ♥️

Today can be a beautiful day to be celebrated, recognised for all that we hold as mothers and it can also be a day of grief for many of us too 🩷

Honestly, it’s so easy for the first thing to slip out of your mouth when your child has an accident to be ‘uh oh’ or ‘oh no!’ which unintentionally can cause children to feel shame or worried about toileting. If we can reframe it and sound excited and happy and say ‘yay look, wee is coming out! That means it’s toilet time’ your child feels confident, comfortable and they quickly learn to get to the toilet earlier and earlier each time. We really don’t need to ‘train’ our kids at all, we just need to give them the time and space to learn their body signals

Just like the taco ad… why not both? 🤷‍♀️🌮
So many waterproof sheets or mats really compromise on beautiful aesthetics for your little ones rooms, that’s why we designed sheets that are so beautiful, soft, 100% organic cotton but hiding a waterproof layer underneath 🤫 no need for mattress protectors and perfect for toilet training 💦

Modelling repair to our children ♥️

Honestly, the mum hack everyone needs 👏 WHY are we still using mattress protectors? When we make 2 in 1 waterproof fitted sheets. Mattress protectors are so painful when they get wet 😅 they’re bulky, hard to dry and not to mention you need several in case they wet the bed several times overnight/over a few days when the family gets hit with gastro!

I really don’t love the toilet ‘training’ term and often prefer to call it toilet learning. It’s just a new thing our children have to learn as their development grows and we don’t need to punish, reward or ‘train’ them, we can trust that they will learn if we give them the time and space to listen and tune into their own bodies 💫

Coming into winter our cot quilts have become very popular 💜 we’re running low and don’t have a lot left! Perfect size for toddlers still in a cot that’s been converted to a toddler bed and for using in the pram when out & about. Organic cotton, buttery soft, perfect for children’s delicate skin ☁️

Do you want your children to see you being prefect, never making mistakes and then feeling like they need to be perfect too? Or do you want them to see you make mistakes, get frustrated and yell sometimes, and come back to them and apologise and model repair?

Showing them that they can also make mistakes and always repair with someone afterwards ♥️ for little kids this doesn’t need to be a forced apology or ‘I’m sorry’.

For my four year old I might say to him ‘would you be willing to repair with your baby sister, what could you do?’ And he will offer her a cuddle, check she’s okay, get her an ice pack or give her a teddy. Their repair can look however they would like it to look, and sometimes they won’t be willing to repair and that’s okay too. The best thing we can do isn’t forcing them to repair, it’s modelling our own repair to them in times we wish we did things differently ♥️
