You may recall during the first ever in 2021 $500 was donated to to show our support to market stallholder from who had received treatment earlier that year for cervical cancer.

Despite being given the all clear in 2022, Mel learned the devastating news just a few weeks ago that the cancer had metastasised and that her diagnosis was now terminal.

If you would like to show your support to this young family please head to Mel's GoFundMe page (link in bio). Proceeds from funds raised are being used for costs associated with Mel's treatment (including wigs and lost income for both her and Matt) and for them to create memory making experiences as a family.

We send our love and support to Mel, Matt and Eddy and their friends and family as they navigate their way through this extraordinarily challenging time.

I'm very excited and proud to be organising a community screening of the remarkable and visually stunning documentary THE GIANTS, a film about the life, activism and political career of Greens founder Bob Brown whilst simultaneously exploring the hidden life of threatened trees.

🌳 WHEN: Monday 5 June

🌳 WHERE: Plant 4 Bowden

🌳 HOW: Tickets in bio (bring a friend, get a discount deal!!)

The screening will commence at 6:30 however please feel free to come earlier to grab a bite from one of the many eateries which will be open on the night and/or a drink from the bar.

The screening will be followed by a short panel discussion about the content of the film by local supporters of Bob Brown's work.

100% of proceeds from this event will go to to support their ongoing conservation work in Tasmania. Please spread the word, the more people we can have at this event the better!! 💚🌏

The numbers are in from Carpark Bonanza on the weekend and guess what, they’re really good!! Stallholder fees, gold coin donations collected on the door and sales from the shop came to a whopping $3250
which will be donated to Louise Place, a program doing the very important work of supporting pregnant or parenting young women experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness. Thank you to everyone who came along as a customer, who traded as a stallholder or who volunteered their time and energy at this event, we couldn’t have done it without you!! 💚🧡
