I'm so excited to be selling at Round She Goes Market in Naarm this Sunday! This market is Melbourne's best for women’s preloved and vintage fashion - and it's all indoors!!

When: 10am-3pm, Sunday 7 May 2023 (one day only!)

Where: Coburg Town Hall, 90 Bell St Coburg 3056

Entry is $4 (cash or card accepted)
there is free parking and the venue is super close to Sydney Rd tram.

I’m very excited to be trading at this Sunday for a number of reasons but what I’m most psyched about is being in the Adelaide Hills during autumn - it is such a beautiful time to be on Peramangk country! REMINDER that is a Bag Free Zone (BFZ) and has been for almost 2 years now. I can safely say I’ve had zero kickback from customers in this time so feel that bags (even if they’re made from recycled paper) are another one of those things we simply default to using which are in fact quite unnecessary. Reducing their use means less cost for me and less waste will come from my business and I’m all about both of those things. I love how the majority (I’m sure it’s 90% at least) bring your own bags, keep it up ponies!!

Adelaide Roller Derby] finals are on at tomorrow afternoon/evening and we’ll be there slinging our slow fashion wares amongst this fabulous group of people. There’s still tickets left if you’re a fan of derby or if you’re keen to see it in real life. Although I’m still working out the rules I can tell you it’s definitely an excellent spectator sport and the track is a full on spectacle once bouts start. We’ll be here at the Winter Edition until 8pm and then again from 11-4 tomorrow. We’ve got the loveliest selection of retro knits, some new designs in the .aura throws collection as well as vintage wool blankets and loads of fresh winter slow fashion including gloves, mittens and handmade beanies. The view of the crashing ocean from the warmth of this toasty marquee were in is just lovely… come check us out if you’re looking for something to do on this otherwise dreary day 🤗

We enjoy The Winter Edition so much that this is the third (or is it fourth!?) year in a row we’ll be joining this fab event. Find us in the massive marquee just in front of the jetty from 11-8 on Saturday and 11-4 on Sunday with another 30+ market stalls as well as a bar, live local musicians and a glitter bar and face painting for the kids. We love the view of the crashing ocean from the comfort and warmth of this ambient market space, come join us and see why we love to trade here so much ❄️

I was so sad when I realised that I had to stay home instead of go to work at my stall at this morning after a night of feeling increasingly unwell but I’m so glad I did because let’s face it, even ‘just a cold’ can make you feel quite ordinary AND spreading the lurgy is not the way I like to share the love at . Thank you so much to my beautiful husband .pony_, my son and sister for stepping up at such short notice and working the stall for me in my absence and to the numerous fellow stallholders who sent concerned messages and offering of assistance my way throughout the day. I am very grateful for and feel very lucky to have your unwavering support and by the looks of the empty coat hangers that came home it was a banger of a market. I definitely missed the pumping vibe of a winter Gilles and now am very much looking forward to the next one in a fortnight’s time on 24 July. See you all then ponies 😘😘

Winter are our fave local markets ever! Find loads of freshly sourced Onkaparinga wool blankets and rugs on the racks tomorrow as well as a cute selection of vintage winter jackets and coats. Big news also is that we’ll have a $10 clearance rack filled with a selection of very groovy bargains that we need gone (further discounts apply for bulk buys, resellers welcome!) Note new trading hours for Gilles have doors now opening at 9 which means we finish up at 3. You know the drill, brave the cold and come early to snarf the best finds, hope to see you there 😘
