Dresses for Zoe! Same dress in 5 different fabrics. Zoe asked me to recreate her favourite dress after she'd worn it out and these are the results. I'm so happy that she loves every one of them.
There is one last one that she'll be picking up from me tomorrow, I can't wait to see her reaction!

Yesterday's dyeing adventure results. As usual not at all what I was expecting but I am happy with how they look.
That mini skirt was a mix of green and purple with a hint of black, but it's definitely turned out blue with hints of green and black. I'm getting some nice ocean/mermaid vibes. But if anyone can shed some light on why it went that colour is love to hear your thoughts.
I used procion MX dyes, low water immersion method.

My amazing friend gifted me some off-cuts of this gorgeous burnout velvet. So I made a dress. I always enjoy a challenge and making a dress out of scraps was a great way to spend some of my isolation time. I love how the velvet catches the light, changing from dark to light.

Dye experiment! I decided to dye this skirt that I never wore because I didn't like the colour. It did not turn out how I wanted, or how I expected, but I do love the result. I was hoping for a more olive green but didn't have the right dye colours for that, then it looked like it might turn out bright emerald while it was in the dye bath. Swipe though to see the original colour.
