This is 21yr old me.
I opened Timmy G’s on Dean St Albury in Oct 2004, and I will be closing the store at the end of April 2025.
For 20yrs I’ve been able to provide the Albury Wodonga community with quality brands, high end skate product and down to earth customer service.
I’d like to think we were one of the sickest small independent skate shops in the country who stood the test of time. We also never sold out , never once selling a Scooter , or stocking Unit, you gotta draw the line somewhere!
Thankyou to everyone who has supported the store over the last two decades. ❤️ We’ve had awesome customers and quality staff members and so many good times with suppliers and brands, the skate industry has many characters!
I’ve been able to give back to countless local events and sporting clubs etc through sponsorship and donations and provide a place to hangout and belong for generations of skate rats.
I’m stoked to have played a big part in getting one of the best skateparks in Australia built in Albury.
This isn’t a sad post, I’ve literally lived my dream of owning and running my own skate shop. It’s time for the next chapter , change happens, keep rollin. 🛹
I’m forever grateful to my parents Peter and Ros who put their money and name on the line to help get this thing off the ground. They bought into my vision, and had seen the hustle first hand . I used their snow shop Ski Plus Mount Beauty, to order in T shirts, skateboards etc at wholesale prices and sold them to my friends for years as a teenager , the shop was just going to be an extension of what I’d been doing, bigger scale, bigger risk.
I paid them off soon enough and did the long hours.
I hope I’ve done them proud.
So we have 1 month left to trade. Please come down and buy some stock, and have a chin wag.
