Well Ladies, “Shirl’s Boutique” is now well and truly closed.
A huge Thank you to all my regulars for your support over the past four years, I am going to miss you.
As you all may realize, my husband’s health was the catalyst for my wanting to cease trading in order give him my undivided attention, however he suffered a rapid decline in health and I lost him on the 1st June. Heart broken and disillusioned I made the decision to close the shop at the end of June.
My parting plea to all is that if you want to retain the very few boutique and dress shops we have left in Albury, please walk through their doors now and again. From Sydney to Melbourne, independent shops are closing daily and very soon it will be only chain stores and on-line available to you.
Again thank you to all of my regulars, most of whom came from Wangaratta and Wagga.
It was very difficult to maintain silence when many ladies who may have either never or only walked through my doors once in four years, came in the last couple of weeks with closing down sales, to demand to know why I was closing. I rest my case. THANK YOU LADIES AND GOODBYE.
