The IMA's Town Hall is out now, and we are in it.

This edition features our Roundtable discussion on corsets with Dr Sal Edwards, Dr Anna Hickey and (the soon-to-be) Dr Kath Horton. This discussion was prompted by an exhibition curated by Sal for the IMA, which centred on the artists Michaela Stark, Natalya Hughes and Rosemary Liang. It was great to get this discussion published and able to reach a broader audience than just those who could squeeze into the gallery on the day. Also, great to include these beautiful images from our Manhood piece for the Queensland Museum's Make a Scene Exhibition. This exhibition is on for two more months as of today!

Town Hall is free and available at key locations around Brisbane.

Please forgive us for being so quiet of late.

Kiara started a PhD last year so we have had to pace the brand to accommodate this new adventure. In the mean time we have still been doing heaps of bespoke work and modest amount of production with our two gorgeous interns Willow and Ella (huge love to these angels xx).

Anyway, thanks for your patience with us in all things and a few of these linen bow dresses are headed to .studio tomorrow.

For the last couple of weeks, Kiara and one of our fearless interns have been designing and preparing a bag charm workshop, using some surplus materials from around our studio. Using a combination of sublimation printing and freehand drawing on deadstock polyester fabric, Kiara and Ella will guide you in making a unique printed collage for your charm. Once printed, you will stuff your charm to pillowy plumpness.

Snap it to your bag, ready for your next power nap on the train.

Come and find us in the Outerspace Gallery! There is heaps of other art and music programmed for the night, and it is all free! Yahoo!

2025 has been enourmous.

Honestly it has been almost too big for us to hold in our heads all at once. We had our second runway collection, we dressed Isla Fisher for her next feature film, we had an acquisitional comission from the QLD Museum, we had our first intern, we had a branding refresh, we dressed a bunch of incredible artists, musicians and friends, Kiara did a heap of panel talks, we were featured on TV, and did a handful of very special personal comissions.

2025 has been fun and silly and tough and exhausting and wonderful. Our cups overflow with all the love and support we've had this year. We receive so much and I just want to reflect that back out into the world.

Grotesque, surreal, sublime?

This look takes inspiration from the infamous Schiaparelli skeleton dress (1938). Instead of building bones on top of the body, we imagined the satorial caricature of a fashionable silhouette. Sharp and jutting hips, a cinched waist and assertively pointing breasts. The concave posture of a fashion editorial build into a corset that shapes the dress it sits under.

The body is a site of sculptural form, fluid as it moves with and around the structures of dress. Our bespoke garments explore the interplay between body, silhouette and material form. Building, sculpting and draping. We fuse tailoring with couture techniques to create bold, elevated statements through dress.

For this collection we reimagined our corset styles into something a little more pared back and contemporary. Our Simple Corsets offer the same support and shaping as our classic corsets but with a delicate and adjustable shoulder strap. We wanted this piece to be easy to layer, and summer ready.

Pressed ribbon, like a lover's token, carefully preserved between the pages of a favourite book, often re-read.

I'm considering opening up pre-orders for some of these runway styles so we can fund a short-run production. What do you think? Personally, I'm obsessed with these green satin clean-finish trouser-shorts. They are batch dyed in-house, so we can only do small runs in guaranteed colourways. They are made from the most luscious cotton coutil, with a beautiful, soft and weighty handle once it has been washed. Yummy.
