Jessie may was born in 1906 to 1994. At ten years old she was sewing for a family of 11 children. Later she won prizes for the royal show for her smocking and embroidery. Sewing for many people in the country town where she lived. Jessie passed on her love of sewing to her daughter, Lonsie, teaching her to sew dolls clothes when she was 4years old. In Lonsie’s teens she did all her own sewing and

now with her neice, Kali Holmes, she is designing and sewing the swing shirts. Kali who enjoys fashion and has been modelling since the age of 8 and now a business developer and entrepreneur, partnered with Lonsie in 2012 to form Lonsie May. Lonsie May, the label, is a testament to Jessie May. It reflects her charm, wit and stunning and vibrant personality. Jessie was alluringly beautiful too and the perfect lady and friend to all those lucky enough to be touched by her presence. Wear it and most of all enjoy its frivolity. Feel a bit of Lonsie May every day.
