🌍 HORNINGSEA PARK 🌍

‼️ Raft Waffle Pod Slab – Two Storey Dwelling Construction Update ‼️

Construction is progressing well on our new two-storey residential dwelling, with the team currently completing the ground floor raft waffle pod slab. Reinforcement placement, beam cages, and formwork are now being finalised in preparation for the concrete pour.

Our structural engineers have been on site undertaking detailed inspections of all reinforcement, including edge beams, internal beams, step-downs, slab thickenings, and critical load-bearing elements throughout the slab system.

Particular attention has been given to areas over bored piers and waffle pod cut-outs, which are being filled with mass concrete to accommodate increased structural loads and ensure compliance with the engineering design.

These inspections verify that all reinforcement has been installed correctly, specified concrete cover requirements are achieved, and the slab is fully prepared for a successful pour.

Another major milestone delivered smoothly through strong collaboration between the builder, contractor, and engineering team. We look forward to seeing the slab poured and progressing to the next stage of construction. 🏗️

🌍 BEECROFT 🌍

‼️ SUBDIVISION WORKS UNDERWAY ‼️

We’ve been engaged as the structural engineers for this exciting two-lot subdivision project.

The development involves a battle-axe subdivision, transforming one existing lot into two. Initial works include bulk rock excavation and detailed earthworks to facilitate construction of the proposed retaining walls, which will support both sides of the new driveway leading down to the newly created rear lot.

As the project kicks off, the first major structural inspection required our team on site to inspect all retaining wall starter bar holes being drilled into rock. Once drilling is complete, galvanised reinforcement bars will be installed into the rock sockets and epoxy grouted in place. These bars will provide the structural anchorage and stability required for the upcoming blockwork retaining walls in the next stage of construction.

Strong foundations are key when building into challenging rock sites, and it’s great to see the project progressing well from the ground up.

🌍 HORNINGSEA PARK 🌍

‼️ Swimming Pool Construction Update ‼️

With CDC approval now issued, construction has officially commenced on the new swimming pool at this site.

The pool excavation has been completed, with the shell now fully formed and reinforced. Our team is currently undertaking detailed inspections of the reinforcement steel prior to the upcoming shotcrete application.

This marks a major milestone as the project progresses from initial groundwork through to structural construction, bringing the vision for this outdoor space one step closer to reality.
