Threaded Acres Each piece is lovingly upcycled and handmade by a local country mum who believes clothing should be unique, meaningful, and gentle on the planet.

Blending rustic charm with modern flair, every garment tells its own story β€” no two are the same.

The fabric? Lovely. 🌸

The vision? Gorgeous. 😍

I had two placement options for the bodice β€” a soft pink stripe down the centre or two different coloured stripes running down from the shoulders.

I went with the soft pink center… but now I'm curious! πŸ€”

Which would you have chosen?

Never short on fun or challenges when you're working with preloved fabrics.

Well, there's definitely a theme emerging here… πŸ˜‚πŸŒΈ

Vintage florals, pretty pinks and those soft, country colours. I just can't help myself!

Which one's catching your eye? πŸ‘€πŸ’—

You know I can't resist a good pop of colour! πŸ˜‚πŸ’›

Especially when it comes to our work shirts!

That yellow one might be a little loud hanging on the rack, but when you've got a little one running around the farm, there's something to be said for being able to catch a quick glimpse of their shirts and knowing exactly where they are! πŸ˜‚πŸŒΎ

Practical, colourful and made for little country adventures. 🀎

But tell me, are you drawn to the bold and bright, or do the softer florals and earthy tones steal your heart? πŸŒΈπŸ‘‡

πŸ‘πŸŒΈ A weekend of sheep showing, with a little fabric hunting on the sidelines!

We're showing sheep at the Bendigo Agricultural Show this weekend, but that doesn't mean the Threaded Acres hat gets hung up!

While we're out and about, I'm still scanning, sourcing and scrolling for beautiful preloved fabrics that could find a second life as little country outfits. 🧡🀎

Because apparently, even when I'm busy showing sheep, I'm still thinking about what I could be sewing next! πŸ˜‚

🀎 The vision vs. the reality of working with preloved fabrics…

You find a beautiful fabric, start imagining all the things you could make with it, and then reality hits. πŸ₯΄πŸ˜‚

Faded patches, worn areas and little imperfections that aren't always obvious until you get the fabric laid out and start inspecting it thoroughly.

Sometimes it means rethinking the original idea, changing the plans or carefully working around the imperfections to make the most of what's there.

While preloved fabrics can be a more affordable way to source materials, they also come with their own challenges. There's time spent sourcing, inspecting, washing, planning and working out how to cut each piece to get the best from the fabric.

It's all part of the process of giving preloved fabrics a new life, and making something special for little adventurers. 🀎

Not every fabric works out quite how you imagined, but sometimes the best creations come from having to think outside the box. πŸͺ‘

Sometimes the best things you bring home from a market aren't the sales, but the connections, encouragement and little reminders of why you started. ❀️

I met so many incredible people at the Woodvale Bush Market, but there was one lovely lady in particular I got chatting to.

Having spent years sewing children's clothes herself, her passion and love for creating came through in every word. There was such a genuine appreciation for the time, care and work that goes into making something by hand.

Yesterday, after getting home from work and kinder pick-up, I discovered a parcel waiting for me. Inside were children's paper patterns and a little handwritten note. πŸ₯ΉπŸ§΅

This beautiful soul had gone home, looked through her own collection and thought of me and Threaded Acres.

To some, it might seem like a small gesture, but to me, it's a little piece of someone's life and creative journey being passed on.

Three of those patterns have already sparked ideas for future pieces, and I can't wait to give them a new lease on life.

It's moments like these that make putting yourself out there so worthwhile. Not just for the sales, but for the people you meet, the stories you share and the kindness you sometimes never expect. 🀎

There's something pretty special about seeing something you've made with your own two hands find its person. πŸ’™

This little blue floral dress was finished at 9pm the night before my first market, and by 9am the next morning, she'd found her new home! 🌼

Every garment represents hours of choosing fabrics, cutting, sewing, unpicking (sometimes more than I'd like to admit πŸ˜‚) and putting all those little pieces together.

To have someone choose something I've made means more than I can put into words.

One little dress, one little win, and another reason to keep chasing this dream. 🌿

17/10/2026

And just like that, our first Threaded Acres market is done! 🌿

I'll be honest, my confidence in myself and this business has taken a bit of a beating lately, so I went into today with pretty modest expectations.

My goals? One new social media follower and one stranger browsing through the rack. πŸ˜‚

Well, we had well over a dozen people browse, I chatted with six people who seemed genuinely interested in our story, and we walked away with $150 in sales!

Was it perfect? Absolutely not. There are things I'd change, things I need to work on and plenty to think about before the next one. I came away feeling a little flatter than expected, but I think that's partly because there's so much to take in when you're doing something for the first time.

Still, I'm glad I put myself out there. Every conversation, every sale and every bit of feedback helps me learn and grow.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and showed Threaded Acres some love and a shout out to the woodvale bush market for hosting!
Here's to learning as we go and seeing where this adventure takes us. 🀎
