My grade plan. Something that I have always done for my entire professional career. But sometimes grading can be a little tricky. So, I have always made a grade plan for every garment I have ever graded.
It takes about 5 - 10 mins to do. And it stops me making mistakes and having to re-do the process over again. And I certainly don't want to do the process more than once. 😉But I will confess - sometimes even with the 'plan' I have occasionally made an error. 😎
Does anyone else have 'plans' setup to streamline a process - it doesn't have to be sewing!!! Please share as I would love to read about yours?💗

We have Sophie's video of her rocking her Fara Top and Laurel Pants… and honestly, we’re obsessed.

There’s something special about seeing these pieces in motion — the petal sleeves fluttering as she turns, the pant cuffs swaying with every step, the linen catching the light like it was made for summer days. And Sophie? She brings the whole set to life with that effortless, playful confidence that makes you want to sew your own pair immediately.

Her video feels like a little love letter to slow fashion, handmade wardrobes, and the joy of wearing something you stitched yourself.
Soft movement. Easy comfort. Big “I made this” energy.

Sophie, you nailed it. 🌞💚

The Laurel Story. Marieke , Sandra , Danielle , Elise and Caroline stepped out in their handmade Laurel Linen Pants, each pair telling its own story. Some chose solid colours, clean and effortless. Others stitched theirs in prints and stripes that added a little spark to every step.

The elastic waist made them easy.
The patch pockets made them practical.
And the cross‑over petal cuff? That made them unforgettable.

Five makers. Five interpretations.
One pair of pants that moves beautifully with whoever wears it.

The Story of Our Pattern Testers continues in Part 2 of our tester roundups. Each tester brings something unique: a different size, a different fabric choice, a different approach to styling.
Together, they create a complete picture of what these patterns can be.
Their work helps sewists imagine the garments on themselves, and their feedback helps us refine every detail before release.
We’re endlessly grateful for their skill, their honesty, their creativity, and their generosity.

The Story of Our Pattern Testers in Part 1.
Before a pattern ever reaches your sewing table, it begins its journey in the hands of a remarkable group of makers—our pattern testers.
They are the quiet engine behind every release, the people who take our early drafts of the Fara Linen Top and Laurel Linen Pants and transform them into real garments, real feedback, and real inspiration.
We would love you to meet the heroes behind the scenes—our pattern testers.

Five beautiful women. Five prints. One beautifully clever design.

Elise , Sue , Luana , Sophie and Annet stepped into the sunshine wearing their handmade Fara Linen Tops, each one stitched in a print that felt unmistakably them. The petal‑cross‑over sleeve fluttered with every laugh, every turn, every breeze—soft, sculptural, and just a little bit magic.
Elise chose bold botanicals. Sue went classic with a quieter print. Luana picked a stripe that danced. Sophie stitched hers in a dreamy solid blue. And Annet? A statement print that turned heads before she even said hello.

Different styles, different stories—yet the same effortless confidence in every frame.
That’s the beauty of the Fara: it becomes whoever wears it.
