Long time no see!

Woopsie haven't done the monthly recaps in a while...
December was just busy around the holidays, in January I decided to go home to Holland for a few weeks to see my family and friends, missed them so much! And then in feb we went on a little Tasmania trip, so beautiful there and we didn't have enough time. So didn't do much sewing again... still hoping sewing will come back soon!

1. Wearing Mae in a new carrier, see loves seeing everything facing forwards!
2. Our Christmas tree with all our presents wrapped in the beautiful reusable wrapping paper/bags (sewing pattern in bio)
3. Snow in holland (needs to be captured)
4. Another one going for a stroll in the snow with Mae
5. Me Mae and my sisters ♡
6. I made this duck for my friends little one soon to come
7. Mae's view
8. Binningup beach
9. Halls fall Tasmania
10. Tassie beach, bays of fire
11. Fam photo
12. Smallest plain to Tasmania (looks private, is not haha)
13. Mount Wellington 100km/h winds!
14. Richmond, Tas
15. Ohh and I did start another sewing project, and ofcourse it's not finished yet. Will show you when it's finished!

Bye thank you for still following me and I'm hoping to get back into sewing soon!!! And show you along!

October has flown by!

Time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it?
We're cherishing every moment with our little family.

Our weekly Sunday walks with the dogs have been a highlight, and I've managed to squeeze in some sewing - more bibs for Mae and a new self drafted bed head cover. Would anyone like a tutorial on how to make one? Let me know in the poll below.

I'm excited to dive into pattern creating soon, especially since I've invested in a pattern grading course. Hoping to grade my own patterns by the end of it!

I've also spent some time on the farm, mowing lucerne hay, a nice break from household chores and taking care of Mae.

How was your month? Did you get any sewing done?

September!

I finally did 1 day of sewing for myself (after I did the washing and cleaned up my house haha) so I made this cute top and didn't realise yellow actually looks quite good on me. The softest fabric from and pattern from

Otherwise I've just been mumming all month :) (did I just make up that word😂)
Mae is growing so quickly she turned 2 months old this month, learning so many new things and already nearly 3 months now, time flies by!
Mae is wearing a knitted vest in the first photo of her, my grandmother made it, in fact she made all of her grandchildren (12 of us) a set of knitted clothes before she died, she was so talented at knitting.

I had another day out by myself as I needed to attent some appointments, so grateful for grandparents ♡

We got our photoshoot photos back from they're so beautiful and so so happy with the photos!

In the last photo Mae fell asleep in the baby nest I made, she looks so cute when she sleeps.

August recap, a little late! Woopsie

I have done zero sewing this month, that hasn't happened for a long time. I'm starting to miss it actually, but now that we've got a little bit more of a routine I'll hopefully have some more time to sew and create new patterns for you guys! I can't wait, and I already have so many ideas!

Otherwise my parents have been over, and my oldest sister came for a week and a half as well. Was so good to have all of them and all of their help in the first weeks of Mae's life.
We've done lots of walks, a bonfire, visited the farm and been to Fremantle together with my mum and sister.

Now that they're gone we've got time for our own little family, which is nice too.

July recap 💛 It’s been a little quiet on here, and for a very special reason.

Our beautiful baby girl Mae was born this month, a little earlier than expected, but happy and healthy. We brought her home in the handmade outfit I made for her, which felt so special.

I managed to sew one last thing before she arrived (just in time!).
My parents arrived just in time for her birth, and we’ve been soaking up this new chapter as a little family. We’ve already been on a few walks with Mae, and of course, the dogs came along too.

We were also surprised with a beautiful handmade flag from our neighbour in Holland, such a thoughtful gesture that made us feel really loved, even from afar.

Feeling very lucky for everything this month brought.

Now we'll be doing lots of cuddling, feeding, napping, weeing, pooing and changing those nappies hahah and on repeat!

So if you're missing me on the socials, you know what I'm doing :)
And know that I'll be back as soon as I can.

How to Start Sewing – A Beginner’s Guide

Ready to start sewing but not sure where to begin? "How to Start Sewing – A Beginner’s Guide" is a 40-page ehandbook packed with the most essential tips, tools, and knowledge to help you confidently start your sewing journey.

This guide breaks down everything you need to know, from setting up your machine and choosing fabrics, to understanding basic stitches and avoiding common beginner mistakes. Whether you’re completely new to sewing or picking it back up after a break, this ehandbook will guide you every step of the way.

Because I believe everyone deserves to feel the joy of making something with their own two hands.

Sewing isn’t just about clothes—it’s about creativity, confidence, and connection. Whether you’re a total beginner or have been sewing for years, there’s something incredibly empowering about turning fabric into something uniquely yours.

I believe sewing should feel approachable, exciting, and fulfilling. It’s a way to slow down, express yourself, and create things that actually fit your body and your style.

Everyone should have the chance to experience that “I made this!” moment, because it’s more than just a hobby. It’s self-expression, self-reliance, and self-celebration, all stitched into one.

And to make it extra special, there’s a little surprise tucked inside just for you.

April started with a little road trip up north to Kalbarri, Shark Bay, and Murchison — such a beautiful part of WA! After that, it was back to farm life and lots of sewing.

I’ve been making my clothes fit again during pregnancy and sewing bits for the baby too. I’ll be sharing tutorials soon, including how to turn your regular jeans into maternity jeans (super handy!).

Still working on my "How to Start Sewing handbook", I’ve had a few doubts here and there, and juggling multiple projects sometimes makes it hard to focus fully. Anyone else with this problem or am I the only one?

The handbook is coming together and I’ll be publishing it soon!
