One of the first hats I ever made for my friend
Was her favourite. Worn in. Broken in. Then Buster got to it.
He Chewed, Torn, Slobbered all over it. The Brim was pretty messed up.

Most people would’ve binned it.

But I had a plan. I stitched it back together using scraps from old projects.
I wanted to keep the scars and add to its story.

I think it turned out pretty dope.

The design came from a small, quiet moment for my new friend Nicky. A kookaburra that shows up on her balcony every day, mouth open, waiting. Same time. Same spot. Something she looks forward to.

16 hours of hand stitching in this one.

Midnight felt. Sharp hits of red through the tail which makes it hard to miss. Pop of colour from the banksia tree to set it off even more

This might be my new favourite.

I’ve made a lot of native Australian flora and fauna pieces…

An opportunity to make something custom for which is pretty wild in itself.

This wasn’t just a hat. Proper one-of-one.
Planned it out, stitched every detail by hand. Took ages.

Then you hand it over…
and she lights up like that.

No fake reaction. No acting.
Just real.

That’s it. That’s why I do it.

each one built for the artist wearing it.
