Just finished up printing these tees for the good peeps at 🍷
The front graphic was screen printed, but for the back graphic I went with a digital transfer. The artwork had a lot of detail and, with this being a smaller batch run and me being a bit limited by how many screens my carousel could clamp in my home studio setup, it made more sense to go that route.
I’ll admit, I’ve always been one of those “death before digital” print peeps, but the technology has come a long way. The quality, detail, and durability of modern transfers are genuinely impressive, and for the right application they’re a great tool to have in the arsenal.
At the end of the day, it’s about choosing the best process for the artwork, the quantity, and the customer’s budget.
For those interested in giving it a go for their own projects, I got my transfers printed locally by Flavour Pop Printing based out in Fyshwick, highly recommend âś…
Sharing these behind-the-scenes process choices because I know how valuable that information can be when you’re starting out. Hopefully it helps someone else achieve the same quality results on their own jobs ✌🏽
