Today’s adventure…
Jumped onboard a vintage steam train at Sale train station and took a step back in time for an hours run out to Munro and back via Stratford, passing high over the Avon River. We were able to move freely between the carriages so sat in First Class, Second Class & Economy (all far superior to modern trains in my opinion!), shopped at the souvenir kiosk and reluctantly decided it was a bit too early for a cider from the refreshment carriage. Marvelled at the intricate carriage details, from pressed tin ceilings, beautiful timber fixtures and gorgeous signs & hardware that make these vintage trains so evocative to travel in.

I believe there are still some tickets available for this afternoon & tomorrow if you’re quick and there is a run back to Melbourne on Monday. A great way to experience the golden age of travel
