This day means different things to different people.
I understand that for the majority - it means a day off from work and maybe a barbie and a beer.
I understand that for many indigenous it marks the day their country was invaded by a foreign power.
I understand that for military vets it might be a reminder of what they were fighting for.

We are individuals - and depending on each of our perspectives - on our personal histories - this day may be deeply, deeply meaningful - it may be cause for celebration - or cause for sadness - it may just be a holiday to enjoy.

Respect ... to all who live here. And, personally, an acknowledgement to those people who inhabited this land before colonisation. 🖤❤️💛
