Well, I feel pretty bloody proud and a little foolish.
I just sewed my first wearable piece of clothing for ME!
As a former hourglass shape but now “plus size” gal I can have a love-hate relationship with clothing which just has me feeling like a blob with big bazookas, and any attempts at sewing for myself has ended with me feeling blah. Sewing for kids is easy, they look adorable in anything!
With a little (a lot) of prompting from my lovely BFF I finically finished this shirt that I started 3 years ago and gave up on, so we could attend last night’s event.
What a lovely evening with other creative-minded ladies and a whole lot of runway strutting to show off our talents!
Is my shirt perfect? Nope, but I made it in my favourite colours, I aced a collar with stand, and I’ll do it again! 💪
Pattern: oversized shirt in straight size 18
Fabric: linen cotton from years ago (but it’s already pulling so avoid!!!
