What do you do when your good sheets somehow rip in the wash? Turn it into spare pillow cases of course 😉 loads of great sheeting fabric either side of the tear so saved money and got something new.

Lots of meticulous measuring today. Doing a custom curtain job and replication. We are salvaging offcuts so it's a bit fiddly but not wasting anything. Fabric can be expensive. You know I love a good 'save it from the bin' job 🙌

*hot tip for home sewers:
If you don't have a cutting table with a groove or a large ruler to help you keep straight when cutting large pieces of cloth, if the fabric has straight grain or repeating pattern, aim your eye straight and follow the grain or pattern 😉

HAPPY HALLOWEEN CREATIVE KIDS 🎃🦇👻
If you are preparing your costumes for tonight and wondering if you can style acrylic wigs, the answer is yes! You just need to be gentle!
1st gently brush the knots out and with sharp scissors trim the frizzy and uneven tips, some hair will pull and stretch with brushing.
You can curl using a curling iron just use a much lower temp so as not to melt the wig. Only turn it about 1/3 of the way up on heat setting max. Pin the top half and work from bottom up. You can hold the curl 5 to 10 seconds on the lower heat.
Pin the curls in place and allow to cool as you would your own hair.
Remove hair pins and pull your fingers gently through the curls and style. Hairspray to finish. This one turned out pretty good 👌

Welcome to the land of hemming! Haha. Another lot dropped off today. Just finished a bunch of jeans, this groovy jumpsuit and about to tackle this formal gown. Don't worry many of us have short person syndrome 😂 clothes are made for tall models.
