Meet Lexi, Production Supervisor at NCS Acoustics, trained welder and fabricator, and living proof you can't judge a supervisor by her height.

At just 5'4", Lexi's used to being overlooked on site.. people go straight to her male colleagues, not realising she's the one running the job. She started with a pre-trade in mechanical engineering before landing an apprenticeship at NCS Acoustics, working her way up despite an industry that didn't always make it easy to learn. She's since won the Bunnings Women in Apprenticeships Award 2026 and picked up a global Leadership Excellence Award along the way.
