This week we farewell Jess, as she embarks on a move interstate and a new adventure.
Jess started with us 10 years ago as an intern, while studying Fashion & Business.
Then continued to work with us on and off over the years.
I know she’ll be missed by many, including us.

Today marks 30 years in business for me & what a ride it’s been!

It all started with me cashing in a savings plan, getting a loan for my car, phone and fax 😂
Plus some extra help from family and friends, I set up Di Conti Agencies.
The first company I started working with, had 3 swim brands under their banner.
They had been in business for forever and went into receivership within my first year.
Lucky I learnt very early on, not to put all my eggs in one basket and had also taken on Konange denim at the time.
I worked 12+ hour days for a long time and was left with $50 a week after rent & running costs for a good while. All while living and working from my shared rented unit at Southbank.

I’ve had 5 offices since then, this current one being my most favourite of them all.
Totally love the European village feel and the non office vibe, I never have been great being stuck in an office or one spot.
I’ve always been one to go my own way, as anyone who knows me will attest.

I certainly could write a very juicy book on running a business, between Christmas parties gone rogue, the highs & lows, becoming a mum to twin boys, floods, cyclones and the list goes on.
One thing is for certain, it has taught me even greater resilience than I already had.

It’s the love of variety, fashion, colour, travel and creating that have keep me so enthralled and the last 30 years have certainly given me all of that.

I’ve been asked several times how I’m going mark this milestone.
Having thrown a fab bash for what I thought was my 25th anniversary, it took some thought.
Starting with cake eating in the showroom with the girls & our retailers today. Followed by dinner with my biggest supporter my husband Nich, who’s been there for 27 of those years.
Then lots of travel adventures for the year, in between showing months. I have to say, I’m pretty excited!
Overall, I am so grateful for all the help and support I’ve received over these years.
From family, friends, staff, retailers and the many great brands we have worked with throughout the years.

Along the way I’ve made life long friendships,that I’ll always treasure💗
