Manessah is an eccentric African Australian fashion brand founded by two sisters, Mariama and Isata Thomas. Manessah was derived from Manasseh, meaning “causing to forget," however, our brand ‘Manessah’ stands for ‘the rebirth’ of the African aesthetic and dynamic culture within the Australian society. Manessah pays tribute to our beautiful African heritage with a unique Aussie twist. This brand promotes empowerment, Uhuru (Swahili for "freedom"), elegance, and class.

HAPPIEST NEW YEAR TO YOU!! 🎉2021🎉 We don’t know what life was like for you throughout last year, but if there’s one thing we can all learn from 2020, it’s that God is in complete control no matter what may come tomorrow. That He will get us through anything and that we can live this life, every moment, without fear of the future, because of that.

If you’re reading this, that means YOU MADE IT! We are grateful for you, we celebrate you and we just want to send you loads of love in this moment, because, WE MADE IT! We’re all gonna be alright. And maybe that’s all that really matters. Let’s all put everything else behind us, and look forward with hope to a brighter future because the BEST is yet to come.

In this year of 2021, let’s not forgot to trust God with and through everything, and never take this precious gift of life for granted, no matter what. Wishing you happiness, success, divine health, higher heights and prosperity in 2021. May God’s sovereign peace, goodness, mercy, faithfulness, guidance & protection, abundance and extravagant grace continue to cover us and overflow in all of our lives, our minds, our hearts, and in our spirits, in the name of Jesus! A happy New Year & blessed New Decade to all our Manessah family, wherever you are today! 2020 IS HERE! We made it! Thank God! And we couldn’t have come this far without each one of you, so thank you for all your love & unwavering support over the last few years.

A special thanks to this young woman right here, for giving Manessah the honour of not only creating this glorious gown for your formal, but also to connect with your most genuine, kindest and sweetest spirit & showing us real sisterhood. Thanks for coming down all the way from Gympie from the first consultation & throughout the making process, & for making everything smoother than a baby’s bottom. We could go on and on Laurie, but you already know.

Most of all, thanks for reminding us about why we started this journey: seeing you glowing with so much excitement, light, pride and real true JOY every step as your vision came to life, was the best gift ever. We look forward to bringing that extravagant glow to the hearts and faces of every Manessah client this year, because there’s nothing like it!!

Thanks to everyone again for riding with us, choosing us, believing in us and for building with us. We wish you divine health, abundance, success, overflow and prosperity in 2020 & over the next decade!

Double the elegance, double the boldness, double the fierceness, and double that unique, irresistible & majestic Manessah magic. We looked and felt like Goddesses attending the Melbourne Fashion Festival yesterday adorned in our unique Manessah pieces. Safe to say, we’re thoroughly enjoying our time here in Melbourne. Looking forward to attending tonight's Melbourne Fashion Festival runway show and seeing some of Australia’s top designers while giving Melbourne an electric taste of Manessah. Stay tuned! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

Happy New Year beautiful people!!!

They say count your blessings. But nothing teaches you how blessed you are until you’re sitting at a dinner party with your family, and it’s finally your turn to share with the table what you’re thankful for that year/in your life and you find yourself listing blessing after blessing and you suddenly can’t stop counting them!

2018 has been an unforgettable year full of more blessings than we can count and we can only thank God for all the blessings 2019 has for us and all our family here at Manessah. Thank you to each & every person that has ever supported us on this wonderful, scary yet exciting journey, and thanks to everyone that’s become part of our growing and glowing Manessah Family. We love you and appreciate you all! ♥️♥️
